Farewells

The saying of goodbye is one of life’s most significant moments. Whether you are celebrating a life well lived, marking a peaceful passing, or creating a ceremony for someone gone too soon, I can help you shape a farewell that truly honours their memory and brings comfort to those left behind.

I work with the bereaved with respect, empathy, and openness, taking the time to build a ceremony that reflects the unique life and spirit of the person you have lost.

Once you have chosen your funeral director, I can liaise with them to ensure that every aspect of the ceremony runs smoothly. I speak with family members and those closest to the person to understand who they were, their values, and the moments that mattered most. Together, we craft a ceremony that captures their essence and reflects what you and your family want for the day.

Family and friends are invited to be as involved as they wish — whether through readings, music, or personal tributes — ensuring the ceremony feels deeply personal.

In these difficult times, I aim to ease some of the burden of organising a farewell. My role is to provide gentle guidance, compassion, and structure, helping you create a meaningful and heartfelt ceremony that offers both comfort and closure.

Crematorium Services

I ensure familiarity with the chosen crematorium, providing a welcoming presence upon arrival. I facilitate seamless communication between the family, funeral director, and crematorium to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Internment of Ashes

For those who prefer a permanent resting place for their loved one’s ashes, I can lead the family and loved ones in a respectful final goodbye, ensuring the resting place is treated with the utmost respect, whether that be in a garden of remembrance or cemetery.

Celebration of Life

Many people are now opting for unattended funerals but still wish to celebrate their loved ones and say goodbye properly.

This can be done on the day of the funeral or afterward and can take the form of a wake or a more informal gathering where everyone can share their memories. The venue and the format are up to your own personal choice.

Celebration of life ceremonies would normally include anecdotes and stories, sharing of photographs, and music which reflects the life of the person and who they were.

Living Funerals

For those nearing the end of their life who wish to be present and say goodbye to friends and loved one’s life, I offer living funerals. These ceremonies are respectful of both those who are coming to the end of their journey and those left behind.

I am here to support you as you navigate the process of saying farewell, helping you create a meaningful and heartfelt ceremony that honour your loved ones at honours your unique relationship and celebrates the strength of the bonds you have created.
